WHAT TO DO?

CONNESSIONI aims to explore the connections that govern the world: visibile and invisible links inside and outside ourselves, among parts of the human body, between action and consequence, between people and knowledge.

Families are divided into groupsand accompanied inside the guided exhibition-game CONNESSIONI to discover four interactive installations. If you wish to participate in the activity with friends, we invite you to buy tickets in a single transaction.

The tour is guided and each installation includes an initial story time before the play phase.

In Connessioni we all play together, adults and children, and without shoes!

Tickets for Connessioni activity of October will be available from Friday 30rd September at 10 am.

WHAT IS IT?

Every day we move around invisible nets: links and structures that support and connect us, even when we don't notice.

Nets made up by information, images, gestures, events, people...
A tree that falls becomes a home for new lives.

Each part of our body finds balance in relation to the others.
Every gesture produces effects that multiply. Ideas and thoughts grow when shared.

But what holds everything together? Where does a system finish and where does another begin? What are the relations that enable us to co-exhist?
"Connessioni - discover ourselves, the world and the relations" invites us to play with this questions that concern up close our time where changes and transformations are continuous.

To learn, to navigate the complexity and to take care of the links and the relations that shape the world.

THE INSTALLATIONS

Connessioni unfolds through four playful installations.
In each installation, the concept of “connection” is addressed in a different context.

In-Con-Tra
What can happen when we meet?
A space for building encounters that invites us to reflect on the importance of the exchanges that can arise, the life that can be generated when each person brings their own piece, puts it in common and makes it available, looking for ways to make it coexist with those of others.
Through a game of abstract wooden modules, children collaborate to create ever-new structures, discovering how each contribution modifies and enriches the final result.

Intanto
What is contemporaneity?
All the situations represented in this installation take place in a single instant, or rather, even less: since an instant has a beginning and an end, what we see in the tables of Intanto is a moment, a single slice of time that immortalises what is happening around the world.
A game that allows us to talk about the world and ourselves, inviting us to broaden the concept of “here and now” by suggesting other perspectives.

In-visibile
What are we like inside?
The human body is an extraordinary mechanism of connections and relationships. Every cell, tissue and organ is part of a complex network in which nothing is isolated: a dynamic system in constant dialogue with itself and with the external environment, a perfect machine that works tirelessly.

Caduto
What happens when a tree falls?
The fallen tree makes us reflect on regeneration in nature, on rebirth, on life beginning again and on all creatures, large and small, that in some way depend on or benefit from the fall of a tree. A play experience that highlights the delicate balance of the ecosystem and the role of each individual natural element in transformation and change.

It is strongly discouraged to allow a child under the minimum age to participate in the activity, as the set-up is specially designed for ages 3-8.
  • Do you have other dates on your calendar?
MUBA publishes activities once a month. We encourage you to sign up for the newsletter so you can stay up to date on upcoming dates or check the calendar on the website.
A child under the recommended age who accompanies a family member in the target group will not be required to purchase an entrance ticket but may only participate as an accompanying person.
