What it is

The workshops are designed and hosted by Sara Zambotti, Sabrina Tinelli and Luca Micheli from RAI Radio 2 in partnership with MUBA.

The radio is a tool for non-formal education in schools in most of the European countries. The radio learning laboratory aims to develop cognitive and affective skills.

The radio communication teaches to structure the contents, motivating ideas and to be clear and effective in the story. It develops a mastery of expressive capabilities closer to that of written communication, helping to overcome the uncertainties of the oral communication.

What you do

A lab that allows children to explore the mechanisms of the radio communication and that allows them to invent themselves radiomen, journalists, directors managing a real broadcast.

Children can experience all the broadcast steps: from the news researching as a reporter of a radio news program, to a real interview, to the design of a real commercial spot.

After an introduction to the radio world, the children start the editorial meeting in which it is established the schedule, the contents and the music playlist of the episode.

In this phase the conductors of the laboratory will present the different roles radio to allow children to choose which group to take part, among: management, editing and directing. By now, the children will work in groups to the construction of the episode in collaboration with the other.

When everything is ready the radio broadcasting can start!
