Our Mission
MUBA's mission is the development and spread of informal education. According to the pedagogic method of Children's Museums, with which Muba has a tight bond, it aims to promote an innovative culture for childhood, one that puts children in the heart of experience.
Our Vision
We actively promote the birth of a cultural Center dedicated to childhood that may gather within itself, along with MUBA, professional excellences in culture, science and arts dealing with the education and growth of children.
Our History
MUBA was born in 1995 with the purpose of realizing in Milan a museum for children. It is the first organization that has successfully proposed, in Italy as well as abroad, important exhibitions for kids that are unique for width and number of visitors. Since 1998 MUBA's exhibitions open in Milan, at the Triennale, and are successively hosted in two other museums in Italy. MUBA's permanent work is therefore not merely local, and its cultural offer is strongly characterized.
It is the only Italian structure specialized in the realization of playful paths and interactive exhibitions for children. Since February 2007 MUBA is a foundation and it hosts the office of children's museum's European association,
Hands On! Europe.
